Susan believes that healing begins in a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship. She takes a client-centered approach, recognizing that each person’s experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Susan works with adolescents, adults, and older adults navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, family conflict, and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals and families through changes that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain.
Drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, attachment-based, trauma-informed, and grief-informed therapies, Susan tailors sessions to meet each client’s individual needs and preferences. With more than a decade of experience in helping professions, she has supported individuals from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. She strives to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward meaningful change. For clients who wish, faith and spirituality can also be thoughtfully incorporated into the therapeutic process.
